After the first efforts
to form a little over a
year ago, the Newark
Symphonic Winds are
going strong and picking
up momentum. The
Tri-City area band has
now given four concerts
in its first full year.
To conclude this season,
this group of over 40
musicians will perform
their summer concert
under the baton of
director Kevin Hanson on
June 24. They aim to
please just as they did
in their last
performance attended by
more than 300 people.
The concert will feature
a wide range of styles
ranging from Gustav
Holst, John Phillip
Sousa, and Elvis
Presley, among others.
There will be bagpipe
music and a Special
Tribute to Veterans and
Service Men and Women.
The evening promises to
be special and enjoyable
for all.
