*** We currently have an immediate need to fill openings in the Baritone, Bassoon, French Horn, and Percussion sections of the band due to some personnel relocations and shortages.

We also have openings in all sections of the band and are actively recruiting musicians.

Our band is also routinely supplemented with various area professionals to fill out sections as needed, depending on the requirements of various concerts and performances.

Audition Information

NSW is always looking for new musicians/talent. If you enjoy playing and are proficient on your instrument please contact us for an audition.

• All new/prospective members are required to perform an audition with their respective section leaders and/or the conductor

• Auditioned personnel will be given full consideration based upon their talent, desire, and interest levels

• You do not have to be a professional player to be a member of this group but must be proficient on your instrument and able to play/prepare parts and attend rehearsals

• If selected for this group, you will be required to pay established member dues twice a year, and must be able to provide standard concert black attire for you to be worn at all concerts. (i.e. Men – Black Tuxedo, Women – Black Dress)

Open auditions are held at the beginning of each term in August and January of each year; other auditions may be arranged. You will be asked to play a prepared piece, and/or sit in with your section during a rehearsal, sight-read a little and run through some scales at the section leaders’ discretion.

Dues are currently $50 per term. Band members are required to buy and wear concert dress. Rehearsals are each Monday 7-9 pm. For more information, please contact us.
